Connection Profile
Save the address and credentials for connecting to a remote Task Processor.
Connect to Task Processor (Remote)
A connection profile stores the details needed to connect to an AnyFileBackup Task Processor running on a remote computer. A matching user profile with remote access permission must exist on the remote Task Processor.
Connection profiles are accessible from: Main window → Task Processor → Remote → Connect → Manage connection profiles, or from App Settings → Launch and Quit → Action: Connect to Task Processor (remote) → Manage.
- Address
- The IP address or hostname of the remote computer running the Task Processor.
- Port
- AnyFileBackup uses TCP port 18440 exclusively. This cannot be changed.
- Username
- The username defined in the remote Task Processor's user profile.
- Password
- The password for the specified user account on the remote Task Processor.
- Confirm password
- Retype the password to verify it was entered correctly.

Controls which connection details are saved to disk for future use:
- Nothing — nothing is saved. All details are kept only while AnyFileBackup is running; they must be re-entered after quitting.
- Address, port — the address and port are saved; username and password must be re-entered after quitting.
- Address, port, username — the address, port, and username are saved; the password must be re-entered after quitting.
- Everything (address, port, username, password) — all details are saved; no re-entry required after quitting.
Miscellaneous
- Display title
- A custom name shown in the account list. If left blank, the remote address is used.
- Notes
- Free-text notes about this account.
- Used by
- A read-only list of tasks that reference this profile.
- Account ID
- A unique identifier for this profile. Use the Copy to clipboard button to copy it. This value cannot be changed.
- Modified
- The date and time the profile was last modified. Updated automatically.
- Created
- The date and time the profile was created. Cannot be changed.
