File Encryption Extension
Add PGP and ZIP encryption to protect files transferred by AnyFileBackup.
Overview
The File Encryption extension adds file protection to AnyFileBackup, encrypting files when they are transferred over the internet or a local network to prevent unauthorised access.
- PGP (Pretty Good Privacy)
- Encrypts and decrypts files using a public/private key pair. A public key encrypts files at the Target; a private key decrypts files from a Source. Keys are stored in PGP Accounts.
- ZIP password encryption
- Sets a password on ZIP-compressed files, making transfers both safer and smaller. Passwords are stored in ZIP Password Accounts.
Both encryption methods require the full version of AnyFileBackup and this extension. Encryption is configured in the target's Modify before transfer setting.
