Schedule
Define when and how often the task runs after activation. Four schedule types are available.
Schedule Type
Determines when and how often the task runs after it has been activated. Four schedule types are available.
- Regular
- The task runs on a time-based schedule — from simple day-and-time dropdowns to six-field CRON expressions. See CRON Format for the supported CRON syntax.
- Real-time
- The task starts immediately when a real-time trigger fires. Available for local folder and LAN share sources only.
- Manual
- The task runs on demand — it has no automatic schedule and starts only when triggered manually.
- Linked
- The task starts when triggered by another task via an Execute task action. The task must already be active.
Actions
One or more actions can be attached to the Schedule step. They run unconditionally (always) immediately after the step commences. The available action types — Send e-mail, Execute application, Execute task, and Set variable — are described under the Actions heading on the Task Properties section page.
